It was my first visit. I had an oil change w/tire rotations. Overall it was a good experience. I arrived a few minutes before 7 am and was out by 9:30 am. They were very busy. Mark is absolutely terrible. He was terrible at Steele Hyundai and he terrible at Group 1 Hyundai. He told me the service would take two hours when I set my appointment. It took three hours and he didn't inform me any delays. I was just at the dealership two months ago working with Donhan Merrell. Donhan and Craig were the reason I can to Sterling McCall Hyundai. At that time there were only two services that I needed after the after my last service appointment; which I came in today to have done. In two months Mark said I need to have over $5,000 worth of work done to my car. And he keep trying to add services. He was the worst at Steele and he was my worst service experience at Group 1. Mark talks at you instead of talking to you. You can tell he trying to selling you for his own personal benefit instead of helping the customer to build a rapport and get repeat business. At Steele Hyundai, Mark had me waiting for four hours to have a simple service done and to put on the change oil sticker in my car. Because the sticker was not put on after my last oil change. After 4 hours the service had not been done and even the change oil sticker had not been put on after 4 hours. Craig Merrell the service manager at the time had to put the sticker on my car himself. Mark provides bottom for the barrel service. If remember his name I would have never made the appointment.

I purchased a used 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe from Group 1 Hyundai Southwest Houston less than six months ago. Recently, the vehicle suffered a major transmission failure that left it inoperable. From the first day of service, I explained that I am a teacher with a mandatory commute and no transportation. I requested loaner or rental assistance and communicated my hardship to multiple staff members as well as Hyundai Consumer Affairs. During the service process: • My vehicle sat awaiting diagnosis due to staffing delays. • I was informed the assigned technician became ill and the vehicle had to be reassigned. • These delays were internal and outside of my control. • Despite early communication, management later denied knowledge of my transportation hardship and refused assistance. Because no assistance was provided, I incurred over $1,400 in rental expenses just to maintain my commute. The inspection confirmed internal transmission failure requiring a $4,500+ replacement, despite the vehicle being otherwise well maintained. Given that this catastrophic failure occurred less than six months after purchase, I expected accountability, communication, and reasonable customer support.
